Executive Sous Chef (5-day work week)

What you’ll be doing:

Assist in all aspects of kitchen operation, including food costs control. Assist and develop creative menu and recipes, ensure quality food product and meeting the highest standard of guests dining experience. Perform daily kitchen operations, assist with menu preparation, ensure food quality and freshness, monitor ordering, delivery and stocks control. Assist in staff scheduling.  

The position also requires direct involvement in client management, including supporting client expectations for menu quality, responding to feedback, and collaborating with client‑facing teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

  • Manage all aspects of food production and kitchen operations to consistently deliver high‑quality culinary output.

  • Delegate tasks effectively among kitchen staff and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen performance.

  • Create and innovate new dishes for special promotions to enhance guest appeal and drive engagement.

  • Manage kitchen‑related emergencies and respond promptly and professionally to operational enquiries.

  • Conduct regular inspections of all kitchen areas to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and Food and Environmental Hygiene Department regulations.

  • Collaborate closely with clients and client‑facing teams to understand menu expectations, dietary needs, and service standards.

  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet agreed‑upon client standards before service.

  • Respond professionally to client feedback and collaborate with the Executive Chef and service teams to implement improvements.

About you:  

  • Possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the hotel or catering industry.

  • Creative culinary professional with strong operational capability.

  • Dedicated to delivering outstanding culinary experiences that align with client expectations.

  • Form 5 graduate or above.

  • Responsible, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to details.

  • Holding a Health Supervisor or Health Treatment Manager Certificate is an advantage.

  • Able to read or write in English and Mandarin or other language.

  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

  • Proficient in general computer operations.

  • Willing to work on shift duty.

  • Work location: Airport
