Job Scope:
Manage entire procurement process from sourcing, request for quotations, negotiations, bulk order management to shipment and logistics for the markets of both Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Assist the Procurement Director to monitor the day-to-day purchasing operation of both Hong Kong and Mainland China operation.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
Supervise procurement staff in both HK and China region to ensure high performance and productivity.
Sourcing profitable suppliers for both HK and China market and initiate business and organization partnerships.
Lead contract tendering, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing management.
Communicate company needs and expectation to suppliers, supporting the monitoring of performance of suppliers against KPIs.
Monitor purchasing operations and conduct cost analysis to maximize efficiency and cost savings.
Ensure adherence to established procurement policies and procedures, conducting regular reviews for continuous improvement.
Based in Hong Kong with frequency travel to Mainland China.
Assist in ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Procurement & Logistic / Supply China Management or related disciplines.
At least 5 years of procurement and purchasing experience with China market exposure, along with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Have extensive experience in management of OEM suppliers in HK, China Mainland and overseas.
With good experience in trading and purchasing of commodity items.
Familiarity with procurement policies, tendering processes, and compliance regulations.
Strong knowledge of customs laws, and import-export documentation requirements, especially China customs.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation and organization skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good command of both spoken and written Cantonese and English, including Mandarin.
Self-initiated, good team player.
Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Procurement Officer.
