HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As an RFBO (Retail Finance Back Office) Senior Accountant, you will be a business partner and key contact point of responsible Maison(s) for finance matters to support retail business operations and controls. Responsibility in leading, managing, and assisting with various core retail finance activities including but not limited to daily/monthly retail finance stock & daily finance operations controlling, retail finance auditing.
Key responsibilities
Stock control & process automatization
· Monitor cycle and annual stock counts (boutique, office & warehouse) in coordination with brand retail team and the external CPAs and auditors
· Prepare and review monthly stock reports (i.e. stock location, Goods-in-transit, event site & consignment) ensuring key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and discrepancies addressed and resolved
· Resolve boutique stock operations issues and communicate relevant policy and procedures
· Participate in retail stock control projects and regular trainings for Maisons
· Support streamlining, improvement and automation of inventory control reports, processes and functions
· Develop stock control reports and business analysis for Maisons and Finance management
Business Partnering
· Act as a finance business partner to Maisons/functions to comment on, challenge and explain business risks and control in daily operations and project initiatives
· Drive insightful analysis and financial visibility to enable strategic and operational decisions
· Support business Omni-channel development and digitalization
Retail AR & Financial Reporting
· Closely work with Brand Retail team and SAP IT Specialists, monitor the boutique sales and collections, review closing reports, perform credit card reconciliation and process refunds
· Controlling month-end checking process to ensure compliance with IFRS & Group guidelines
· Liaise and advise Maisons and support functions on the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions
· Prepare monthly turnover reports and audit certificates for landlords and liaise with external auditors and landlords regarding turnover rent requirements
· Support internal and external audits
Maisons’ Retail Operations Support and Control Activities
· Conduct analysis and reconciliation of gift certificates, merchandise credits, and customer deposit accounts
· Coordinate control monitoring over retail and Ecom business processes
· Monitor Anti-money laundering (AML) activities and assist Maisons in complying with local AML regulations
Your Profile
· Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent qualification, with qualification of HKICPA / ACCA
· Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in inventory management / accounting / finance / retail operation
· Strong data analytical skills with robust business sense that able to quickly understand/ assess complex business situations and high-risks areas and made recommendations to resolve
· Strong interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving capability
· Strong sense of responsibility, self-initiated, well organized, able to work independently and under pressure with deadlines
· Result-oriented, customer focused and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong commercial sense and business partnering experience
· Experience with internal and external audits and landlord turnover reporting
· Good experience or knowledge of SAP/ Business Intelligence / Power BI / SharePoint / VBA
· High proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in the use of Excel and PowerPoint
· Industry experience gained from sizable MNC is highly valued but not a must
