The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, is looking for a dynamic and high caliber professional to join our Exhibition and Digital Business Department.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a team to manage resources, maintain and execute policies, procedures, plans and systems in all aspect of operational duties for the trade fairs and public fairs in Hong Kong.

• To formulate operation strategies and develop strategic and contingency plans to ensure smooth execution of projects.

• To prepare budget forecast / scenario analysis, coordinate with cross-functional teams to exercise budgetary control and prepare financial reports.

• To conduct research, observe industry trends, provide strategic insights and identify new development opportunities.

• To participate in the development and enhancement of the related IT System. 

• To oversee full spectrum of event services including appointment and supervision of service vendors, cooperation with venue operators, liaising with the stakeholders.

• To implement ad-hoc compliance measures in relation to new policies and regulations.
   

Requirements:

• A university degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration or Accounting. 

• A minimum of 8 years’ solid managerial experience in marketing / business development. Experience in the exhibition industry a definite advantage.

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluent in Putonghua.

• Strong problem-solving skills and with proven track record on operational planning and execution.

• Strong analytical and project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks with tight timelines.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with strong leadership and team management skills.

Remuneration and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity. Medical benefits and annual leave will be offered.
