What you’ll do

• Responsible to lead a professional Facilities Management team in daily operations, including cleaning, security, customer services, event, landscaping, office administration, procurement, etc.
• Manage in-house and contractor staff performance, provide training, ensure the effective management information is being reviewed to continually improve services
• Supervise all on site works to minimize health and safety risks, ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Act as advisor on best practices by performing research and planning related to future initiatives
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team
• Negotiate all major facilities service contracts & provide subcontractor management
• Implement management and operational strategies and exercise effective cost/ budget control
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues
• Monitor with contractors, vendors, and university stakeholders to monitor projects progress are completed on time and within budget
• Promote and support initiatives for sustainable campus operations
• Prepare and execute the Crisis Management Plan, provide regular drills to the Section and other end users
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Key qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in facilities management of which at least 10 years at senior management role, with proven track record of management

Personal skills you excel

• Experience in managing IFC portfolio, large and multi-cultural work team
• Excellent leadership, self-motivated, organizing and problem-solving skills, good communication, and interpersonal skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required
• Knowledge in relevant statutory regulations/ ordinances/ code of practice
• Effective incident management & reporting skill
