Assistant Business Technology Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyse requirements from different stakeholders; perform system design and development; and plan and run system testing and product deployment.
  • Lead discussions on system development, enhancements and tuning for new initiatives, change requests and daily operations.
  • Prepare product and progress presentations for internal stakeholders and the management team.
  • Prepare and keep user manuals up to date and provide regular user training and support.
  • Coordinate and track vendor work, and measure, review and report on vendor performance.
  • Handle ad hoc assignments as required.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of system development experience using Microsoft .NET and SQL Server technologies; proficient in C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Transact-SQL; with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in reporting and data management; knowledge of Power BI and Crystal Report is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in application deployment, monitoring, tuning and problem diagnosis; knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Selenium and LCNC platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with booking/leasing management systems; knowledge of Ungerboeck/Momentus is a plus.
  • Experience working closely with and managing vendors.
  • Able to explain technical concepts and ideas to non-technical audiences, both in writing and verbally.
  • Self-motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the System Analyst position.
