Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) lead non-local internship programmes and maintain effective communications with partners, students and stakeholders, including but not limited to exploring new internship opportunities, liaising with internship providers to confirm programme details, handling student inquiries, managing insurance matters throughout the internship period;
(b) coordinate with academic / non- academic units to enrich students’ non-local WIE learning experience;
(c) organise departure briefings and orientation activities for incoming interns;
(d) provide logistics and administrative support in planning, coordinating and executing non-local internship programmes and related events;
(e) manage the entire recruitment process of Student Assistant post;
(f) draft or compile documents, reports and replies to enquiries or complaints as necessary;
(g) liaise with internal units and external organisations;
(h) provide support to the Associate Director on reporting, data analysis, special projects or initiatives, or any other tasks as assigned; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Engagement or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work during non-office hours occasionally and travel when necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least two years of post-qualification experience in related areas of work, preferably with administrative background;
(c) a commitment to provide excellent customer service;
(d) demonstrated record of detail-minded, flexibility and professionalism; and
(e) an excellent command of both written and spoken English.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
