Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall R&D system of the company, encompassing both traditional mattress development and smart mattress innovation.

• Develop product strategies, technical roadmaps, annual R&D plans, and innovation directions to ensure product differentiation and competitive barriers.

• Lead the team to manage the entire product lifecycle from requirement definition, structural design, material selection, process validation to mass production.

• Collaborate closely with supply chain, production, quality inspection, and laboratory teams to ensure stable quality, controllable costs, and feasible innovation.

• Build the company’s patent system, focusing on design, structure, and utility model patents to create a competitive edge for products.

• Cultivate a high-quality R&D team, establishing cross-departmental collaboration mechanisms to enhance R&D efficiency and innovation capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in engineering, structure, branding, materials, design, or related fields.

• At least 5 years of R&D management experience in the home furnishing/soft furniture industry (sofas, soft beds, mattresses, bedding). Experience in other industries is acceptable, but a solid understanding of soft goods manufacturing is essential.

• Proven experience in building a complete product R&D system and managing both traditional and smart product development.

• Proven track record of successfully launching products from concept to market.

• Knowledge of branding, material selection, foam technology, spring structures, fabric processes, and cost control; ability to drive stable mass production of products.

• Innovative thinking with the ability to define products based on user scenarios and brand value, rather than merely replicating competitors.

• Strong communication skills, execution ability, and leadership qualities to facilitate smooth cross-department collaboration.

• Experience in R&D management for sofas, soft beds, or bedding products is a great plus

• Willingness to frequently travel to Shenzhen Headquarter or be stationed in Shenzhen as needed.
