IT Operations Specialist

Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and disciplined IT Infrastructure Specialist to provide comprehensive technical and maintenance support for typical IT infrastructure systems. This role involves critical oversight of server farms, virtualization technology, and IT security implementation within a government-standard environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Evolution: Lead the setup and integration of new server farms and IT infrastructure, ensuring all deployments meet rigorous corporate and industry security standards.

  • Virtualization Management: Manage VMware/vCenter environments, including migrations, expansions, and resource optimization with zero-to-minimal downtime.

  • Proactive Maintenance: Oversee system health monitoring, security patching, and firmware updates across a diverse server estate.

  • Operational Continuity: Execute backup/restore strategies and lead periodic disaster recovery (DR) drills to ensure 24/7 business continuity.

  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance on technology standards and best practices for infrastructure scaling and security hardening.

  • Documentation & Audit: Maintain meticulous records of system configurations, change requests, and asset lifecycles.
