【Responsibilities】

• Provide specialized breast care nursing support to patients throughout the breast care pathway, with primary deployment to breast care nursing specialist services to meet service needs.
• Support pre-operative counselling, post-operative care, discharge planning, symptom management, patient education and follow-up care for breast patients.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, holistic and continuous care for patients.
• Liaise with wards, outpatient services and related departments to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care.
• Assist in the operation of the breast services and support clinical service development including preparation and revision of patient education materials and discharge documentation.
• Provide emotional support, reassurance and health education to patients and families, especially newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and those undergoing surgery or treatment.
• Contribute to mentoring, teaching and support for junior nursing staff and other team members as required.
• Undertake general senior registered nurse duties in support of overall service operation.

【Qualifications & Experience】

• Holder of Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Holder of Hong Kong Registered Nurse license with valid practicing certificate.
• Holder of relevant post-registration qualification in breast care nursing or a closely related specialty nursing field.
• Holder of ACLS & Valid BLS Certificate.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience in surgical nursing and breast care nursing services.
• Sound knowledge of breast surgery, post-operative nursing care and patient counselling.
• Experience in supporting multidisciplinary care and specialist clinic operations.
• Good communication, interpersonal and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy clinical environment.
• Experience in mentoring or clinical improvement work will be an advantage.
