JOB SUMMARY:

The Director, Community will represent DHI to the community and play a critical role in fostering positive relationships among stakeholders, and driving the Company’s ESG efforts. In terms of community relations, this role will manage community outreach initiatives, support employee communications, and handle some media relations to enhance the Company’s image and impact in the community. In terms of ESG, this role will help to advance sustainability initiatives, inspire meaningful change, and integrate innovative practices to enhance the Company’s ESG strategies.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

 Community

• Community Engagement: Lead community outreach programmes, strategic initiatives and partnerships that align with the Company’s goals, while building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, government bureaux, and stakeholders.

• Employee Communications: Support internal communications strategy and initiatives to inform and engage employees, locally and internationally.

• Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to promote community initiatives, including preparing press releases, articles and other communications to highlight community involvement and organizational achievements.

ESG

• Lead ESG campaigns: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive ESG campaigns that resonate with all stakeholders, driving engagement and participation.

• Influence behavioral change: Foster a culture of sustainability by influencing and leading initiatives that promote environmentally friendly behavior among staff and guests.

• Research & development: Conduct thorough research on sustainable practices and trends within the hospitality sector to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

• Strategy advancement: Analyze current ESG efforts and propose actionable strategies to take our sustainability initiatives to the next level.

• Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with various departments and external partners to align ESG goals with business strategies.

• Reporting & metrics: Monitor and report on ESG performance, using data-driven insights to continuously improve our sustainability objectives. Contribute to the production of the parent company’s annual ESG report.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate communications, community relations, or internal communications.

• Experience in ESG, particularly social aspect, is a plus.

• Fluency in Chinese, English and Mandarin. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proven track record in successfully managing community outreach and engagement initiatives. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across various levels of the organization and the community.

• Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.

• Proven ability to lead and inspire others, and influence behavioral changes across diverse groups.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results on time.

• Innovative mindset with capacity to initiate new ideas and drive projects forward.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy.
