Duties
The appointee will work in the User Support Services Section and will be required to:
(a) lead non-local internship programmes and maintain effective communications with partners, students and stakeholders, including but not limited to exploring new internship opportunities, liaising with internship providers to confirm programme details, handling student inquiries and managing insurance matters throughout the internship period;
(b) liaise with Faculties / Schools / Units for non-local Work-Integrated Education (WIE) programmes and opportunities as well as services;
(c) manage databases, develop strategies for employer and mentor relationship management as well as account services;
(d) plan and launch outreaching and networking exercises to engage non-local employers;
(e) administer different forms of evaluation for training and services, including data collection, compilation of statistical reports and report writing;
(f) administer students’ nominations and offers on behalf of the Programme Leader of the prospective cities;
(g) administer and oversee multiple funding schemes, as well as procurement and tendering processes;
(h) travel to overseas countries or Mainland China to maintain connections with leading organisations;
(i) provide secretarial support to committees / meetings / focus groups;
(j) manage the complete recruitment process of student assistants;
(k) draft / compile documents / replies to enquiries whenever necessary;
(l) provide support to the Associate Director of Global Engagement on reporting, data analysis, special projects or initiatives, or any other tasks as assigned; and
(m) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Engagement or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work during non-office hours and travel when necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least five years of post-qualification experience in related areas of work, preferably in developing student programmes and services;
(c) a proven track record of leadership with evidence of excellent customer service, demonstrated creativity, flexibility and professionalism; and
(d) an excellent command of both written and spoken English.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
