Job Purpose

The Finance System Analyst will support the Finance Department in Hong Kong and Shenzhen by maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance system. The role ensures system stability, supports finance operations, drives process automation, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to improve financial workflows and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Support & Maintenance

• Act as the first-line support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance system issues across HK & SZ offices.

• Handle user inquiries, system errors, troubleshoot and debug issues on finance-related modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, etc.).

• Coordinate with IT/System Vendor for bug fixes, enhancements, and version upgrades.

• Maintain chart of accounts, workflows, financial dimensions, user roles, and access controls.

2. Financial Process & Operation Support

• Assist in streamlining finance processes (invoice processing, payment workflows, reporting).

3. System Enhancement & UAT

• Gather user requirements from Finance teams in HK and SZ.

• Translate business needs into functional specifications for system development.

• Prepare test scenarios, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and document results.

• Participate in system data interface, program development. system rollout, module expansion, or cross-regional harmonisation projects.

4. Reporting & Data Management

• Develop and maintain BI solutions, including data models, reports and dashboards. Optimize and improve BI systems for better performance and usability.

• Generate financial reports and assist users in using D365-built reports or Power BI.

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across entities.

• Support accounts teams in improving reporting automation and visibility.

5. Training & Documentation

• Provide user training, develop user guides, SOPs, and process documentation.

• Promote best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in finance systems support, accounting operations.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (D365) is highly preferred.

• Basic accounting knowledge (journal posting, reconciliation, financial statements).

• Experience in regional finance support across HK and mainland China is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.

• Familiar with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table) and basic reporting tools.

• Proficiency in BI and Databricks development and programming languages such as C++ is a plus

Work Location

• Hong Kong & Shenzhen – required to support cross-border offices.

• Occasional travel between HK/SZ may be required based on project needs.
