Assistant Librarian
Responsibility:
  • To manage library daily operation and supervise library staff

  • To coordinate library projects and new library services

  • To coordinate technical services in cataloguing

  • To support communication between teaching staff

  • To handle lending services and library activities

  • Shift duties required: 3 days (9:00–18:00) and 2 days (12:15–22:15) per week, plus two Saturdays per month (11:00–20:00)


Requirements
  • Degree or above, preferably in Library and Information, with a minimum of 2 year’s relevant working experience

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and Chinese word processing

  • Able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience in Integrated Library System and cataloguing would be an advantage
