Systems & Infrastructure Support Specialist (SAN, Over $40K)

Job description:

  • Deliver comprehensive system and database support for existing computer systems, including managing hotline inquiries, performing diagnostics, and restoring operations during incidents.
  • Undertake administrative duties, including the compilation of statistics and the preparation of returns.
  • Coordinate equipment and service procurement while maintaining stringent inventory control.
  • Ensure the stability of current systems through proactive database and system administration.
  • Resolve system and database malfunctions promptly upon incident occurrence.
  • Execute maintenance support, encompassing the implementation and upgrading of both hardware and software assets.
  • Document all incidents, problems, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Conduct research to develop and recommend policy guidelines and procedural improvements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Commvault Backup, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft IIS, MSSQL Database and VMware ESXi System support
  • Experience in systems analysis and design
  • At least 3 years’ experience in:
    • Storage Area Network 
    • System Implementation and Maintenance/Support
    • IT Audit
  • At least 2 years’ experience in: 
    • System Backup Operation
    • Microsoft Internet Information Services
    • Server Virtualisation Technology
    • Windows Server 2008/2012
