Major Duties:
(a)  To conduct classes and practical training in front office, tourism and hotel operations;
(b)  To assist in development of programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(c)  To act as "Manager on Duty" and manage shifts periodically within The T Hotel and Halls of Residence;
(d)  To supervise students from various departments and deliver hotel services to hotel guests and members of the public within The T Hotel and the Institutes;
(e)  To assist in recruitment and placement of students;
(f)   To assist in the supervision and management of staff and resources; preparation of financial estimates and training statistics; and maintenance of student and office related records;
(g)  To oversee the procurement, maintenance and commissioning of plants and equipment; and
(h)  To liaise with counterparts in the industry and other training institutions.

Requirements:
(a)  A recognised higher diploma in Hotel Management or a relevant discipline, or equivalent;
(b)  At least 6 years' relevant work and / or teaching experience in front office operations in hotels;
(c)  Preferably with experience in curriculum development;
(d)  Good supervisory experience and administrative abilities;
(e)  Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and
(f)   Good knowledge of Opera PMS and basic computer applications.
(g)  Ability to pass a trade test.

Notes:
(1)  Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirements (a) above but possessing 12 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply.  Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2)  Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3)  The appointee will be required to perform duties outside normal office hours, work on shift over a full 7-day period and in designated places as assigned.
(4)  In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
