Purpose of the Role

The Business Analytics Manager – SHISEIDO & IPSA serves as the strategic data anchor for the brand. This role bridges Brand Commercial/Sales and Marketing Team, as well as Corporate Function such as Supply Network, and Finance to drive integrated future business planning and brand performance optimization. Translate Data into actionable insights and recommendations to Management, working closely with Function Leads to define strategies that ultimately driving brand profitability optimization.

Job Responsibilities:

Brand Performance Analytics & Insight (Commercial, CRM, Promotional, Customer Experience)

• Franchise Performance: Analyze the customer purchase behavior with product sold for additional growth opportunities

• Business Performance: Track business across channels, analyze the business impact of commercial activities and promotions to uplift profitability

• Marketing & Customer Performance:  Evaluate the pre- and post-campaign ROI with CRM Data, supporting more efficient Go-To-Market Communications & strategies

• Market Performance: Analyze Beaute Research Report for Market Insight
  

Executive Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Develop, maintain, and automate commercial dashboards tracking key business health metrics: Brand KPIs, Sell-Out, Sell-In, Target Achievement, and Channel Mix

• Conduct monthly P&L bridge analyses to explain variance between actuals, budgets, and latest estimates with actualized monthly business performance

• Deliver ad-hoc scenario modeling for leadership (e.g., business model transitions, price increases, macro market shifts)
   

Strategic Business Planning & Forecasting Support

• Working closely with Commercial and Marketing Leaders to ensure monthly demand forecasting processes across franchises are accurate  

• Develop effective tools and business templates for efficiency improvement

 
Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration

• Be the strategic analytic support for Brand Leadership Team to identify opportunities and risks

• Collaborate with Commercial and Marketing Team to ensure Brand Business Plans are well executed and reaching Brand Goals

• Bridge the effective communication and understanding with Finance and Supply Network Team to enable Business Rationale are aligned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, or related fields

• Solid and Deep understanding of prestige retail & customer dynamics (sell-in vs. sell-through, GWP mechanics, gross-to-net sales bridges)

• Minimum 8 years in Business Planning and Analytics, S&OP, or Financial Planning in FMCG, Retail. Prestige Beauty experience is a plus

• Advanced Excel/Power Query, Power BI/Tableau, presentation skills using PowerPoint and other business analytical tools.

• Strong Communication & Presentation skills within sizeable organizations.

• Experienced with influencing Senior Stakeholders, including Local, Regional and Global Team
