Laboratory Animal Services Centre
The appointee will (a) handle Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (AEEC) applications (both new and amendment) requested by CUHK researchers throughout the whole process; (b) collaborate with AEEC Secretary to manage AEEC internal administration, including distributing new batch of applications to panel members on a weekly basis so as to move forward the reviewing cycles, monitoring the proforma reply from the reviewing members (email), reminding the reviewers to send comment/approval to Secretariat on time until full panel replies are received, and distributing those proforma reply to each file handler respectively; (c) handle application for Provisional AEEC Approval / Exemption of Ethics Approval upon request; and (d) handle ad-hoc requests from CUHK research staff about AEEC applications and seek help from the Secretary if necessary.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate in a relevant subject from a recognised university or technical institute; OR a Diploma/Certificate in a relevant subject from a recognised university or technical institute, plus 3 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience at an appropriate level; and (ii) excellent communication and organisational skills. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
