Information Technology Services Centre

The appointee will be assigned to the Centre’s Systems Team of Infrastructure Services and will be responsible for (a) installing, configuring and supporting computer systems of the University; (b) asset inventory management; (c) performing daily operation tasks such as tender preparation, report generation and other housekeeping works; and (d) performing other duties as assigned. Working beyond office hours will be required for system upgrades and maintenance.

Applicants should have (i) a Higher Certificate/Diploma or above in Computer Science or related disciplines from a recognized technical institute or university; (ii) at least 2 years’ work experience in supporting Microsoft Windows and Linux server platforms; (iii) sound knowledge of virtual server, firewall and load balancer; (iv) good interpersonal and communication skills; and (v) self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Having knowledge of programming or scripting will be an advantage.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
