Faculty of EducationThe appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting teachers to prepare, construct, operate & demonstrate experiments for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science, and STEM subjects; (b) managing laboratories in good order, including inventory, consumables and apparatus maintenance; (c) maintaining safe-guards in the laboratories, including first-aid treatments; (d) assisting the Faculty’s technical team to provide IT/AV supports including operation of AV equipment in classrooms, photo-taking / video-recording for events or computer set up for zoom meetings or conferences; and (e) performing any other tasks as assigned. Work on Saturday will be required according to the teaching schedules.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subjects; (ii) an interest to work in a laboratory environment and good initiative to learn new technologies; (iii) a supportive and self-motivated work attitude, and the ability to work independently; and (iv) good communication and interpersonal skills. Possession of a Certificate for Laboratory Technicians or valid First Aid Certificate, or Lab Technician experience in secondary school will be an advantage.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
