Job Description
(1) To carry out daily accounting and documentary duties; (2) To assist in organising account receivables aging reports and pursuing outstanding debts; (3) To guide subordinates and check the invoices, accounting journals, payment vouchers, compensation cases and its monthly and quarterly reports prepared by the subordinates; (4) To supervise a team and prepare audit schedules; (5) To handle enquiries from staff, vendors, postal administrations and members of the public; (6) To perform general clerical duties; and (7) To undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Location of Work: Kowloon Bay (The actual location of work assigned is subject to the operational need of Hongkong Post.) Hours of Work: The basic working hours are 48 hours gross per 5-day week, selected candidates are required to work during the following period of time (including 1-hour meal break): - Monday, Wednesday and Friday: from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm - Tuesday and Thursday: from 8:30 am to 6:15 pm Subject to the operational need, on-duty on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays may be required. (The actual hours of work assigned are subject to operational need of Hongkong Post.)
Requirements
(1)(i) Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2 (Note 3)/Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; (2) A minimum of three years’ post-qualification working experience in accounting field; (3) Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent. (4) Be familiar with computer operations and software like Microsoft Word and Excel, etc; and (5) Independent, good sense of responsibility, hardworking, willing to work under pressure, good communication skills and a good team player.? Note: Note 1: “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. Note 2: The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language. Note 3: “Grade C” and “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” and “Level 2” respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Terms of Appointment: The successful candidate(s) will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for twelve months. Subject to operational needs, employees with good performance may have the opportunity for contract renewal after completion of the first contract.
Remuneration
$18,916 per month
Fringe Benefits (1) Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. (2) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon completion of the contract with satisfactory performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

If candidates submit the old version form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.
