Job Description
(a) To provide administrative, executive and secretariat support to the Task Group Secretariat and the Support Sub-team, which include assisting in organizing Task Group meetings and other related briefings/meetings, drafting/preparation of meeting materials, and liaison with relevant parties and coordination of inputs; (b) To assist the Support Sub-team in conducting researches into overseas practices and models, conduct analyses and consolidate findings; and (c) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Requirements
Candidates should have – (i) acquired a bachelor degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations or Public Administration/Government Studies; (ii) met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent (Note); and (iii) at least ten years’ post-degree full-time working experience of which three years should be related to general administrative and day-to-day management work, secretariat support, event management or project management in the Government. Note: Grade C in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. Candidates who possess the following attributes would be an advantage – (i) knowledge of and working experience in the medical education system in Hong Kong; and (ii) working experience in the Health Bureau (or its former name before re-organisation).
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for one year. Renewal of contract will be subject to service need and the performance of the candidate.
General Notes: (a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise. Remuneration
HK$82,330 per month
Fringe Benefits (a) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. (b) Rest days, annual leave, statutory holidays, maternity leave/paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
Application must be made on Application Form G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) which is obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Candidates who apply for Government jobs advertised on or after 26 July 2023 should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If candidates submit the old version form (G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further. For applications submitted in person or by post, completed application form, together with copies of public examination results, academic certificates, qualification certificates, employment proof as well as other supporting documents should be submitted on or before the closing date and time by post to “Health Bureau, 13/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong” (the postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of submission of application). The envelope should be clearly marked with “Application for the position of Senior Executive Manager (Task Group)”. Applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post. Applications submitted by fax or email will not be accepted. Applications which are late or incomplete will not be considered. Applicants who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about 6 to 8 weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
