Job Description
(1) To assist in coordinating the implementation of Rural Representative Election, Rural By-elections and Rural Elections; (2) To liaise with organisations in the New Terrorities, government departments, business sector, etc. regarding the election-related matters and projects; (3) To provide executive support on administrative, financial, procurement and contract management matters; (4) To monitor the use of funding and progress of projects; (5) To assist in organising briefing/sharing sessions and training; and (6) To undertake any other duties as required.
Requirements
(1) A bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; (2) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent (See Note); (3) Minimum 5 years of post-qualification working experience in public administration, contract management or non-works project/event management/planning, with at least 3 years at supervisory level; (4) Good computer and information technology knowledge including proficiency of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing; and (5) Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience in planning and conducting public elections, procurement and tendering in the public sector or monitoring community/IT projects.? Note: ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Terms of Appointment: (1) Candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for not more than 12 months. (2) Further renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department and the candidate’s performance. (3) Candidates appointed may be required to work outdoor, irregular hours and work on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
Remuneration
HK$74,345 per month
Fringe Benefits (1) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and (2) Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

(3) Late applications, applications submitted by fax or emails, applications with insufficient postage, applications which are incomplete or without the required copies of documentary proof will not be considered.
