Job Description
(1) To assist in the implementation of community involvement projects and activities, and related work for Committees; (2) To assist in the formation of Owners’ Corporations (OCs) and other related matters; (3) To attend meetings of owners, OCs and Owners’ Committees; (4) To visit and liaise with OCs, Owners’ Committees and buildings, prepare reports and input data; (5) To provide clerical and secretarial support and assist in meetings; and (6) To perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
Candidates should have – (a) (i) attained Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or (ii) attained Level 2 (Note 3) / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; and (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and (c) been able to communicate in Cantonese and write fluent Chinese and English; and (d) been familiar with computer software application including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese and English word processing skills.? Note: (1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. (2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language. (3)‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Terms of Appointment: (1) Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a maximum of one year. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service needs and availability of resources of the Home Affairs Department as well as the satisfactory performance of candidates. (2) Candidates will be appointed on part time basis, with irregular working hours, and may need to work at nights on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. (3) Working area will be in Wan Chai District or to work outdoors as assigned.
Remuneration
$68.4 per hour

The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Candidates should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If candidates submit the old version form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.
