Main duties
The main duties of a Banquet and Conference Server include:
(a) assisting in the preparation of meetings of LegCo and its committees, and providing steward services at these meetings;
(b) providing support in the delivery of banquet, food and beverage services for functions and events organized by the Secretariat;
(c) supporting the daily operation of the Coffee Corner, which is reserved for use by LegCo Members and their guests;
(d) providing support for social functions for LegCo Members and receiving guests of LegCo Members and the Secretariat; and
(e) processing billing and recording, and managing records and inventory.
Appointees will be required to work irregular hours and wear a uniform.
Entry requirements
Candidates should:
(a) have completed Secondary 5, or equivalent;
(b) preferably have three years’ work experience in catering and hospitality industry, with solid credentials in cafe/coffee chains, banquet operations, bartending or food and beverage services;
(c) have basic knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene;
(d) be responsible, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, self-motivated, presentable, and customer service oriented;
(e) have good interpersonal communication and reception skills; and
(f) have good command of Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
The Secretariat may devise further criteria to shortlist applicants. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an aptitude test and a skill test.
Remuneration
The starting salary is $23,585 per month, increasing by two annual increments to $26,590. There is also a monthly cash allowance for the rank of Steward (the current rate is $400 per month). The successful candidate will be appointed on three-year agreement terms subject to renewal upon satisfactory completion of service, at which the appointee will be eligible for an end-of-agreement gratuity. The gratuity, when added to the employer’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme, is equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the agreement period. Fringe benefits include paid leave as well as medical and dental benefits.

主要職責
宴會及會議服務員的主要職責包括:

(e) 處理帳單和紀錄,以及管理紀錄及存貨。
受聘人將須不定時工作及穿着制服。
入職條件
應徵者應:
(a) 修畢中五,或具同等學歷;
(b) 具備3年飲食和款待服務業工作經驗較佳,最好能提供資歷證明,以供核實在連鎖餐廳/咖啡店、宴會運作、調酒或飲食服務方面的經驗;
(c) 具備健康與安全及食物衞生的基本常識;
(d) 具責任感、處事主動積極、友善、樂於助人、具自發性、得體及以顧客服務為本;
(e) 具備良好的人際溝通技巧及接待技巧;及
(f) 操流利粵語、普通話及英語。
秘書處可制訂進一步的準則,以選出初步入選的申請人。初步入選的申請人或須參加能力傾向及技術測試。
薪酬
入職薪酬為每月23,585元,並按2個按年增薪點增至26,590元,另有為管事職級而設的每月現金津貼(現時的津貼額為每月400元)。成功受聘人士會按合約條款受聘,為期3 年,倘完成服務期而工作表現良好,可獲續約,並會獲得一筆約滿酬金,其款額加上僱主在強制性公積金計劃下所作的供款,相等於合約期內所得底薪總額的10%。附帶福利包括有薪假期、醫療及牙科福利。
