Role Overview:
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist responsible for managing logistics providers to support Ampd’s production and product development. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products, maintaining compliance with customs regulations, and optimizing logistics processes. As the Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for communicating with various stakeholders to communicate logistics requirements and status, ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain are efficiently coordinated.
Responsibilities:
Logistics Management:
Manage relationships with logistics providers to align with Ampd’s production and product development needs.
Maintain accurate status updates on logistics progress, proactively escalating issues to management as needed to prevent disruptions.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics-related inquiries.
Interface with internal teams (e.g., production, sales, and development) and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, carriers) to ensure that logistics requirements and status updates are communicated clearly and accurately.
Customs Documentation:
Maintain a complete and updated set of customs documentation for all current AMPD products, including bills of lading, customs declarations, test reports, and other necessary documents.
Ensure that all documentation is readily available to facilitate quick and accurate shipment bookings.
Process Development:
Assist in the development and documentation of AMPD logistics and shipping processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices within logistics operations.
Supplier Performance Review:
Prepare and conduct periodic Business Reviews with suppliers to evaluate their performance against established metrics.
Communicate AMPD’s future plans and expectations to suppliers to ensure alignment and foster strong partnerships.
Cost Improvement Initiatives:
Participate in planning and implementing cost improvement strategies within logistics.
Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for reductions without compromising service quality.
