Deskside Engineer for VIP Support

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Deskside Engineer to provide dedicated technical support for VIP users at a leading insurance company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • VIP Support: Deliver on-site and remote technical support to VIP users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

  • System Setup: Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new devices, ensuring they meet the specific needs of VIP users.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the IT support team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and quick resolution of issues.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment inventories using ticketing systems.

  • User Training: Provide training and guidance to VIP users on new technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance their productivity.

  • Proactive Maintenance: Conduct regular system checks and maintenance to prevent issues and improve performance.

  • Security Compliance: Ensure that all systems comply with company security policies and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in desktop support or a related field, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Strong understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common software applications.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with VIP users.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
