We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into high-quality finished videos for various platforms, including social media, websites and commercials. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, storytelling ability, and proficiency in video editing software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Familiarise with the products and services, the target audience and their competitors’ activities.

• Edit raw footage into polished videos for social media, marketing campaigns, documentaries, commercials, and other projects.

• Trim, splice, and arrange video clips to create a compelling narrative.

• Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, graphics, animations, and subtitles to enhance video content.

• Colour correct and grade footage for a professional look.

• Ensure videos are edited, graded and produced to the branding demands.

• Optimise videos for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, TV, etc.).

• Amend, revise or redevelop adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or clients.

• Provide useful thoughtful and constructive contributions to team meetings and conversations.

• Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with other creative team members.

• Demonstrate strong project management skills: can take ownership of a task/project with excellent attention to detail.

• Maturity of thought and confidence to present and explain ideas to colleagues & management.

• Collaborate with other disciplines including production companies, photographers, designers, copywriters and printers.

• Ability to demonstrate excellence in creativity across multiple media.

Requirements:

• University degree or above in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years experience in equivalent role; or other qualifications plus 3+ years relevant experience.

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio.

• Familiarity with different video formats, codecs, and export settings.

• Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, etc.).

• Knowledge of motion graphics, visual effects, and audio editing.

• Understanding of colour correction and grading techniques.

• Strong storytelling and pacing skills.

• Attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Basic knowledge of camera equipment and filming techniques is a plus.

• Self-motivated, creative, independent, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Have a positive and passionate approach with a can-do attitude.
