Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management & Reporting: Supervise the month-end and year-end closing process for the HK office and associated companies. Prepare and review consolidated financial reports and perform financial analysis for the group.
• Oversee Project Financials: Review financials for ongoing projects, providing support and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Global Finance, Tax & Compliance: Develop and maintain a global compliance work plan to ensure timely filing of financial reports, foreign tax estimates, and other regulatory filings across various jurisdictions.
• Accounting system: Review the current accounting workflows, identify opportunities for automation, and implement an enhanced accounting system that streamlines and automates financial processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Accounting Oversight: Provide hands-on accounting support to international offices (review and manage financial reconciliations, roll forwards, and intercompany payments, etc).
• Collaboration & Governance: Liaise with internal teams, overseas offices, auditors, and other professionals to ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations. Lead in establishing and maintaining internal control safeguards for efficient financial processes.
• Cash & Currency Management: Assist with multi-currency cash management, planning, and repatriation strategies to ensure efficient use of global funds.
• Ad hoc Projects: Lead and contribute to various financial and operational projects aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing overall efficiency.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in a global or multi-office environment is highly preferred. Prior exposure to tax-related aspects, such as withholding tax and transfer pricing is required.
• Qualifications: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. A graduate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. A qualified accountant with a background in audit, tax and commercial finance experience is required.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and online systems. Knowledge of international financial reporting standards and multi-currency management is essential.
• Languages: Proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required. 
• Personal Traits: A proactive, detail-oriented, and organized professional with excellent communication skills. You are a strong team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on deadlines.
• Availability: Immediate availability is highly preferred.
